Important Notice: Meeting Postponed
As the local organizing committee, we deeply regret to announce that we have decided to postpone the Joint Neuromodulation Meeting of the BNS with the Nordic and Baltic states, from April 22nd-24th, 2010 to January 27-29, 2011.
Due to the unforeseen climatologically circumstances (Iceland volcano) that still prohibits normal air traffic in Europe we are unable to provide you with the quality meeting we had envisioned.
Because of the fact that one of the initial goals / set up of the meeting is to unite the complete Northern neuromodulation community, we had to make this difficult decision. Remember that one of the secondary goals was the creation of a Nordic/Baltic chapter of the INS.
The alternative option would have been to reduce the program, with a restricted number of invited speakers and absence of most of the Nordic and Baltic participants.
At this point at least 1/3 of the invited speakers have resigned from participation to our meeting and we expect cancellation of most of the Nordic- and Baltic participants.
We hope that you will understand the difficult decision that the organizing committee had to make and we sincerely hope to welcome you early next year. Yours sincerely, On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee Prof. dr. Michiel Staal
