INS 12th World Congress: 6-11 June 2015

2015 INS Congress Announcement

The abstract submission period is now closed.

Dear INS Members and Friends of the Society,

The International Neuromodulation Society is pleased to announce its call for abstracts for its 12th World Congress, "Neuromodulation: Medicine Evolving Through Technology." The congress will draw more than 1,500 delegates to the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal from 6 - 11 June 2015. Two pre-conference days will cover mechanisms of action and innovation and investment, followed by a three-and-a-half day scientific program.

In keeping with the Society’s multidisciplinary educational mission, the congress offers a unique opportunity for valuable interactions with a variety of peers who, collectively, focus on every aspect of this growing field. We invite you to contribute to that dynamic experience and submit your best original work.

Abstract categories encompass treatment today as well as potential future technologies such as optogenetics or bioelectric medicine for systemic disease:

•    Basic Science
•    Neuroprosthetics and Neural Engineering
•    Socioeconomics
•    Brain (movement disorders, psychiatric disorders, and cognitive disorders)
•    Spine (pain, spasticity, and movement disorders)
•    Headache
•    Peripheral Nerve
•    Cardiovascular Disorders
•    Gastrointestinal Disorders
•    Genitourinary Disorders
•    Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation
•    Neuroregeneration

All submissions will undergo rigorous peer review. The INS Scientific Program Committee will select the strongest work for oral presentation, in addition to traditional poster presentation. Accepted abstracts will be published on the Society’s website and in the online version of the INS journal, Neuromodulation: Technology at the Neural Interface.

The INS is pleased to announce its best abstract competition, in which the top five abstracts will be recognized for their quality, originality and ingenuity in basic or clinical science. The recipients will be notified in advance, and will receive their awards during the INS General Assembly of Members on the 9th of June. In addition to this honor, the primary author recipients will be refunded their congress registration fees. To qualify for the competition, the primary author must be a current member of the INS and must have registered for the main congress.

Please share this announcement with your colleagues and take note of the special discounted attendance rate for members. With this in mind, now is the perfect opportunity to renew your membership or become a member of the INS.
